Ullswater - Body Layby - Stybarrow Crag (Falling Rocks) - Lyulph's Tower - Various places looking for lost items!
Our local dive site, Ullswater is a great practice area with many chances of finding sunken treasure (mostly golf balls or dropped shoes to be fair!). If you can dive here, you can dive anywhere!
Crummock Water
Crummock Water is a fantastic training area with plenty to find and safe places to work on the basic skills needed for the first levels of qualification.
Wast Water
Gnome garden commemoration plaques
With clear water and limited silt levels, Wast Water gives fantastic opportunities for the deeper dives needed for higher level training as well as being a nice site for a peaceful swim around the pinnacle's memorial area.
Capernwray
A commercial dive site (see links page) with the bonus of having a warm, indoor place to get food and a hot drink between dives - and they even let you keep your drysuit on inside!! There is plenty to see and do for any level of diving experience.
Egypt - Red Sea
Club trips to Sharm el Sheikh and Marsa Alam have taken place using Emperor Divers, Elite Diving and Blue O Two (see links). Some lucky members go more often too!
Eyemouth and St Abbs
A voluntary marine reserve in the North East corner of England (see links), these sites offer the chance to see some of the most spectacular wildlife habitats in the country.
Loch Long
Our closest place for a nice sea water dive with no worries about the wind being in the wrong direction, Loch Long is a tidal Loch with some large eels and the odd seal or two. A great place for new divers to experience 'real' water.
Farne Isles
Diving with Stan & Lee Hall (see links), we also use their comfortable bunk house in Beadnell.
Loch Fyne
Slightly further to go than Loch Long but worth it for a change of scene and slightly clearer viz.
